How we will help you
Beckenham Communicators follows the proven Toastmasters educational programme, who will give you the confidence and skills you need to express yourself in any situation. The programme is self-paced and runs on a ‘learning by doing’ philosophy. You can learn new skills stepwise by delivering speeches whose learning objectives will be supported by manuals and online learning modules. Club meetings are a structured in a way that will allow you to develop multiple skills and competencies, including impromptu speaking and delivering feedback.
The skills you will learn at Toastmasters are directly applicable to all areas of life, from work to job interviews to being able to better communicate with everyone you know.
Additionally, the leadership elements of the educational programme will provide you with opportunities to practice leading others, team-building and managing a project to fulfil a vision.
When & Where we meet
You are welcome to attend our club meetings held every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month in Beckenham Methodist Church on Bromley Road, from 07:15 until 09:30pm.
Plenty of parking spaces are available in the St George’s Rd car park or in nearby streets, parking costs 80p/hour before 8:00pm but is free afterwards.
If you are travelling by public transport, Beckenham Junction station is a 5min walk away and bus stops served by the 54, 227, 354 and 367 buses are located on Beckenham High Street just 2 min walk away.
